Lindsay Koch
President & CEO
Lindsay learned the complexities of the grocery business at an early age while doing retail store checks with her dad. Her first job at age sixteen was working as a bagger then a cashier and later as a stocker for Albertsons in Rowlett, Texas. After this 4 year high school stint, she moved to Denton, Texas to manage a Sam Goody record store and pursue her degree at the University of North Texas. Lindsay joined Koch and Associates in April 2009 where she was responsible for managing the retail and direct sales forces. During the first month on the job, she simplified and computerized almost every function in the company. A daily report system was implemented where each reps retail distribution can be analyzed down to the individual SKU level just 1 day after each call. Essentially, a form of data-driven reporting was created to manage and analyze all accomplishments and instantly understand opportunities within the sales force to see immediate results. After a two-year stint as Retail Sales Manager, Lindsay became the Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Lindsay created unprecedented growth for our vendors and customers with an average account growth of +37%. These successes have led Lindsay to be named President of Koch and Associates in June of 2016.
Lindsay graduated with Honors as a Marketing Major with a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree from The University of North Texas. Lindsay went on to earn her graduate degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology Executive MBA Program with a Masters of Business in Global Business in 2018. She gained invaluable experience through residencies in Panama City, Panama, Beijing, China, Shanghai, China, and Silicon Valley. During her China residencies, Lindsay was certified in "Global Leadership- Conducting Business in China" by the Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications. Lindsay is using this education to bring together our vendors, customers, and internal workings with current day changes, demands, and technologies. Lindsay's easy going demeanor, quick wit and ability to solve complex problems quickly have endeared her to our employees, principals and customers.
Lindsay was recognized as a Progressive Grocer GenNext Winner in 2018 along with 24 other under 40 year old nominees for her "innovation through work and leadership including the capacity to inspire and lead others, a commitment to learn from others, and an involvement and support of the CPG industry."
Lindsay was recognized as a 2019 Progressive Grocer Top Women in Grocery Executive Level honoree thanks to her hard work, leadership skills, and results-oriented style of data-driven management. Lindsay was officially named CEO of Koch & Associates in 2020, two weeks before COVID lockdowns- Trial by fire indeed. The crisis was navigated, Koch & Associates was ready and able to support and increase sales for retailers and vendors alike, and the company has been enjoying sustainable growth ever since.
Lindsay is proud to serve on the Board of Trustees for the Georgia Food Industry Association (GFIA) and encourages all vendors and retailers in the state of Georgia to participate- Just give her a shout if you need more information. GFIA is a wonderful organization that works with the state and federal government to develop retailer and vendor-specific legislation to grow grocery and CPG through lobbying and education.
During her spare time, Lindsay hangs out with “The Mister” (also known as Tristan) and their rescue dog KaiBeast who you may occasionally see pop up on video calls. Tristan & Lindsay can be found traveling, cooking, reading, and watching truly terrible television at every opportunity.
Last but not least, Lindsay is a diehard Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets and Atlanta Falcons fan. Given the current season, she would prefer not to discuss it. You understand.
